S.P.A.R.T.A. Strength Water

This is an amazingly simple, but highly nutritious and refreshing drink. It’s based on watermelon, a fruit that is 92% water. Not only is it nutritious, but hydrating as well. This will beat any coconut water you’ve ever had guaranteed! As with the S.P.A.R.T.A. Bar, we’ll give you 2 options.

Option 1
-Cut rind off watermelon and coarsely chop pieces into a blender.
-Blend until liquid.
-Serve over ice cubes in a glass.
-Optional: Strain through a fine sieve to remove pulp.

There are approximately 75 calories per cup. This makes an excellent post activity/workout drink for replenishment.

Option 2
-Cut rind off watermelon and coarsely chop pieces into a blender.
-Blend until liquid.
-Strain through a fine sieve to remove pulp.
-Add a splash of lemon juice.
-Add a pinch of sea salt.
-Add a sprig or a few leaves of mint.

In option 2, the lemon juice acidity and the sea salt offset, but enhance the sweetness of the watermelon water. Make your own and enjoy!
