Chris Lutz
Chris Lutz is the owner and founder of S.P.A.R.T.A. He has a degree from George Mason University in Exercise Science and has over a decade of professional instruction as a degreed/certified personal trainer. Teaching, reading and writing about proper exercise methodology are his biggest passions. Chris and his team can properly teach you how to instruct a full body workout in 30 minutes, 2-3 times per week using a safe, effective and efficient method called high intensity training.
Experience
Chris has worked as a personal trainer since 1999. He got his start at a Fairfax, VA fitness club where he instructed in a one-on-one high intensity personal training facility, conducted client health assessments, recorded fitness improvement, instructed members in proper circuit weight training (high intensity training), and oversaw fellow fitness center employees. In 2001, Chris was the manager and head instructor at a Sterling, VA High Intensity Training (HIT) facility. He developed both the general and post-rehabilitative strength training programs, evaluated client health histories, conducted follow-up fitness assessments, communicated with and maintained the club’s 275 clients, participated in the hiring and training of employees, and managed all facility administrative duties. His previous work history, combined with his knowledge, expertise, and passion for fitness allowed him to successfully open S.P.A.R.T.A. in 2007.

Michael Petrella
Michael Petrella is the owner and head trainer at STG Strength and Power, which is regarded by many as one of the finest equipped private gyms in the world. Michael works one-on-one with clients ranging from young teens to 60+.
Michael holds several certifications including “Master Trainer” with S.P.A.R.T.A., MEDX/HIT/Jones Ceritication with the I.A.R.T., “Youth Fit Certification” with Premiere Personal Fitness, and a 4th degree Black Belt in Seicho Jutsu.
Michael’s achievements include being recognized by the World Head of Family Sokeship Council for having the “Most Innovative Training Program”, being appointed “Director of Strength Training and Fitness” for the International Circle of Masters, being published in Fitness Science Annual, training two clients to WPC/AWPC World Champions in powerlifting and having his powerlifting team achieve 34 World Records that are recognized by 4 different powerlifting organizations – WPC, RPS, 100% Raw and IPA.

Liam “TAKU” Bauer
Liam “TAKU” Bauer, is a strength and conditioning coach, and fitness consultant who has been designing comprehensive conditioning programs for professional, and elite amateur athletes as well as individuals of all fitness levels since 1988. Liam is a certified Conditioning Specialist, and Certified Personal Trainer through the NSPA, and a Certified Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting. Throughout his career Liam has attained certifications from many of the top recognized leaders in the fitness industry including NSCA, ACE, YMCA, ACSM, ISCA and others. Liam currently works full time training individuals privately as well as acting as a fitness consultant and advisor (via the internet) to fitness enthusiasts, professional fighters and martial artists, as well as police and elite tactical officers all over the world. Liam is also a frequent lecturer and guest speaker at seminars around the country.
