I came across this video some time ago and it really was eye opening. It references research the world over as to what motivates us in our professional lives. It’s particularly interesting as far as looking at what motivates a staff. Most importantly, the commonly held beliefs regarding money and motivation, ARE NOT TRUE. Worse than that, if you try to motivate someone under those beliefs, you may end up getting the opposite effect. Take a look at the video below and try to apply some of the findings of this research to your personal training business.
What do you think about this? Personal training, I would say is not a mundane repetitive activity where money is a sole motivator to the staff member. Have you experienced this in your business?

Outstanding! This is completely true. I’ve experienced it in my career. Thanks for sharing, Chris. -Jennifer
